Ben and Noel {Married} Washington DC and Glen Echo Maryland

This may just be one of my longest posts in quite some time.
Ben and Noel had a rockin' wedding day, and we've got the photos to prove it!

From the GLORIOUS church in Washington DC, to the ever so fun Glen Echo park for their reception, Ben and Noel threw one heck of a wedding!

The whole day was a blast. My awesome second shooter Kip Pierson got some
killer shots of Ben and his groomsmen at The Hamilton Hotel that I am totally envious of, while the stunning Noel and her gorgeous bridesmaids were working it for me in the beautiful Universalist National Memorial Church on 16th Street in downtown DC.

The weather was on our side, we got Noel to the church on time, and once the ceremony was complete, the party bus was jumpin' all the way to Glen Echo.

I had so much fun with Ben, Noel and all their friends and family. I would even say, I experiences some "firsts" at this wedding... but that will have to stay between me and all 100 guests.

Thank you so much Ben and Noel! It was such an awesome wedding day, and you guys were so much fun to work with.

Noel had a stunning dress, and the shoes... lordy were they hot!

Noel is a natural beauty. I could have photographed her all day. She didn't believe me, but I will be calling her up to do some model shoots for me!

Ben and his brothers. Love this shot that Kip got while they were getting ready.

Bottoms up... and that will become very true later in the night.

We got so many great photos of Noel and her bridesmaids in this fantastic room off the main sanctuary. The wood work, the mirrors, the light, the fabric on the furniture... delicious!

Noel and her beautiful sisters.

Been playing duets since they were little girls!

This church was simply breathtaking. I think I would have been hard pressed to take a bad photograph with a back drop such as this.

Kip's fun idea to get Noel to play for Ben.

Glen Echo here we come.

The ever famous Glen Echo Carousel.
Giddy bride and groom+wild and crazy wedding party+a carousel = some hilarious wedding party shots.

One on one time with Ben and Noel. I love this time when it's just the three of us (sometimes four) and we get to take a small break from the whirling excitement of all the wedding guests and get couple shots.
Always my favorite part of the wedding day.

A Holga shot that I am in love with.

Walking back to the reception Noel was moved by the wedding day spirit and gave the bouquet a toss, and Ben was there with quick hands to pick that bad boy right out of the sky.

Hands down best wedding centerpieces, bubble gum machines!
We had so much fun getting some great ring shots with these.

The reception was held in the bumper car pavilion which I love shooting in.
All the wood, all the neat architectural detail makes a photographer happy.

So one "first" that I can share, the Hot Dog stand! How great is this? Never have I seen a hot dog stand at a wedding reception before and now I will be recommending it to everyone!
Totally retro, totally fun, and it totally fit in with the whole nostalgic feel of the wedding day.

All of the wedding guests were dancing machines! I believe I got several hundred photos of all the hilarity that ensued on the dance floor.

Nothing like a good old Journey song to get people singing at the top of their lungs.

Last but not least, we were able to grab a few photos of Ben and Noel amongst the neon glow.

Thank you again Ben and Noel, this is one wedding day I will remember for a long time!

Sarah! Are you kidding me?! What an amazing wedding, fabulous couple, and you did a perfect job with all of it! Let me break it down for you: First of all, you are so totally rockin' that Holga. I LOVE that shot. It's gorgeous, and I know it requires some SKILLS to get an image like that. Second of all, beauuuuutiful ceremony shots. I know that particular church is SO DARK inside, so again, skills required! And third, those ring shots are my favorite ring shots EVER. (Yep, I went there. Most favorite EVER.) Slam dunk, Sarah!
