It was a hot day yesterday and luckily Glenview Mansion has a good air conditioning system.

Jennifer, Dave and Dave's super cute kids were all ready for thier photo shoot!

I met Jennifer and Dave a few months ago at the Glenview bridal show.

I was excited when they called to have a second meeting and talk about their hopes, dreams, wishes and vision for wedding photography.

Dave is pretty specific... No Posed Shots!

That's my kind of fella.

I am all about getting the candids and documenting my couples interacting with each other.

Dave and Jennifer were perfect for this style of photography because Dave is so gregarious he is always making Jennifer laugh, along with keeping his children engaged and occupied.

Susie and Todd were married in September of 2006 in Hilton Head, SC and are VIP clients!

Many of you have most likely seen and fallen in love with their slide show ( I myself still love watching it).

Just a few months ago my dear friends went though quite a trying time.

Todd was in and out of the hospital having to under go two surgeries one of them pretty major where the doctors removed 1 liter of fluid that was gathered around his heart.

I went to check the bluebird nest yesterday and was greeted by a very grim scene.

All 4 beautiful bluebird eggs were gone.

My heart dropped and I had this feeling of dread and disbelief over come me.

I just can't believe that one day the eggs are safe in the nest and the next they are gone.

My conclusion is that some how a snake found it's way into the nest box.

The guilt I felt was huge.

Just a super quick update on how my new brood is doing. We have four beautiful eggs all cozy and warm.

The bluebird family is very active and it seems there are two babies from the first brood that are always hanging around with papa bluebird.

Today the two babes and dad were all sitting outside my window on the gutter singing and chatting to each other.

I would like to introduce to you the new Mr. and Mrs. Swensson!

Tracy and Erik were married this past Saturday in Harrisonburg Virginia, at the JMU campus.

My trusty side kick, aka Armin DeFiesta (one of DC's top photographers) was along for the 2 hour ride to second shoot the wedding with me.

We packed up and left McLean at 12pm to sunny skies and what seemed to be a sunny day ahead.

However, as we get closer to JMU the skies begin to darken, heavy clouds lay off in the distance...

Are you all sick of hearing my bluebird stories yet? I sure hope not because.... I have another nesting pair!!

Of course I am over the moon about it! I was pretty depressed when the last baby had flown the nest. That day I was left with an empty bird house and a bluebird shaped hole in my heart.

But, you see patience does have it's rewards.

This most recent nesting pair are in the new house that my father and Joe built together.

I am thrilled to be able to finally post some of my favorite images from Margaret and Alex's wedding on May 31st!

Margaret and Alex are a dream couple. Not only are they so much fun to work with, they are so in love with each other that every shot of them is amazing. They really made my job easy.

When we got to the church my assistant Susan Solo and I had come through a down poring of rain.
