In my last post I eluded to the fact that I was going to be in/making a promo video for my photo business.

In an ever increasing web world I find that video is now the HOT thing to do.

Which makes sense, especially for a business like mine where a lot of my clients first see/hear about me on the web.

My goal for having a promo video is to give my perspective clients a change to see me in action, to get a sneak peak of what it will be like to be on a photo shoot with me, and of course to see my winning personality come shining through!!!

I will say, it was SO unbelievably hard to be in front of that dang camera and act natural, or "be myself".

The irony is not lost on me here. :-D

It was a fun experience, now I am off to find a good editor.

I had the privilege once again to get together with Ralph and Laura, whose wedding

I photographed this past August.

I love when I get to have another session with my brides and grooms.

Often times I feel our time together is to short, so I was thrilled when we decided to do a post wedding shoot in lieu of an engagement session.

We met up on Saturday at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, MD, and lucked out with one of the most gorgeous days so far this month.

I am loving my henna art! I only wish I had more places to show it off and weather that would allow for tank tops. :D

My boyfriend Joe and I went to go see a Yo La Tengo show last night at the Birchmere,

where Joe says he did over hear someone make a comment about the coolness of my henna tattoo!

Yay! Work like this should be admired. Liz did an amazing job.

Here is a photo of Liz's beautiful henna design 2 days later.

Here is Liz's tattoo a few days later.

Not too shabby for my first try.

Yesterday my good friend Liz and I decided to have a girls henna day!

I have never done henna before, in that, I have never actually been the "tattoo" artist!

I have often been the willing recipient, but Liz was brave enough to let me henna her skin for the first time ever!

I was SO nervous, and was very glad this was not permanent. ;-D

I was so nervous in fact that I couldn't hold a conversation for the first 20 min or so, but I think I did a pretty good job for my first time.

I had to post a few more photos from the day.

As I am sitting here editing the 1500 photos! ... I keep falling in love with new ones.

Enjoy!

Neesham's mom was trying to go in for a little kiss!

Another one of my favorite "wall" shots.

I absolutely LOVE this one of Neesham and her dad.

Neesham and Ed celebrated their marriage this past Saturday October 13th at the Tabard Inn

in Washington, DC.

It's hard to find just the right words to describe Neesham and Ed's wedding.

I find that I am lacking the vocabulary to truly let you all know how spectacular the day was.

Neesham and Ed both have extremely full lives living and working in the DC area.

They both work very hard here in DC but they have also managed to thrive in their creative endeavors.

Magnus has been having a great time visiting Daddy, Nana, Deda, and Aunty Sarah.

I haven't been able to put the camera down, Magnus is so photogenic, and you never know what he is going to do next.

Thank goodness my brother picks up the camera in that rare moment when I put it down to snap a photo of me with my boy!

Yesterday we had a blast at the Natural History museum and the sculpture garden.

We are off on another adventure today, back to DC I believe.

Stay tuned..

like a chicken with my ... well you know the rest.

It's been a crazy week and a half for me.

I finally got my computer back from the Apple store yesterday. I feel SO much better with my baby by my side.

She seems to be operating fine, however because I have such amazing clients and tend to take thousands of photos at their wedding, and hundreds of photos at thier engagement sessions, my computer's hard drive is almost maxed out!

The means....

Ok, I am having some serious withdrawal issues.

I just dropped my baby, my mac book pro laptop off at the Apple store for some maintenance and I will be with out it for 2 whole days!!!!

I have never been without my computer since I got her over 2 years ago.

There are issues with her performance though I am trying hard not to judge her.

We all need a tune up every once in a while.

Rachel and Ian were married at Kent Manor Inn on September 15th.

It was such an amazing wedding day that I couldn't pick only a few images to feature on my blog, I had to do a slide show!

This slide show was such fun to put together, giving me the opportunity to relive this very special wedding.

I hope you will enjoy viewing the slide show.
